I am going to officially declare Chad Henne‘s game against Miami the greatest fantasy stat line of the year. Turn out the lights, the party’s over. I do not believe we will see a more ridiculous line this year. He went for 416 yds and 2 TD’s in the air (both career highs… yeah he has never tossed 3 TD’s). I don’t think Henne has put up numbers like that since he was busy abusing [Directional] Michigan in one of Michigan’s annual early season tune-up games. To add insult to injury… he rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown. Prior to that game, Henne had one rushing touchdown and 84 yards rushing… in his entire career. He’s never had 59 yards rushing in an entire season. To top it off, he didn’t even play well.
This game had much more to do with New England’s fraudulent defense than Chad Henne‘s performance. If New England had been playing any team with an even credible offense, this game could have easily been a 42-38 loss for New England. Needless to say, I am not recommending that you rush out and pick up Henne. If he continues to put up numbers even close to this I will consider retiring from blogging and you should consider picking him up
