If you need emergency help at Tight End, Fred Davis is a solid option, available in many leagues. Fellow Washington TE Chris Cooley has not shown much yet this season and may still be a bit hobbled by injury. Davis is younger, healthier, experienced, and he appears to have clicked with Rex Grossman. (Yes…. clicking with Grossman is actually a good thing at the moment.) He is big, strong, athletic, and a tough matchup for defenses. So far this year, he has been consistently impressive, pulling in 105 Yds. in week 1 and adding 86 Yds. and a TD in Week 2. He also faces a relatively favorable schedule for the next several weeks. If you are shorthanded at TE due to injury, upcoming bye week issues, etc., Davis should be a very good fill-in.
